
ABOUT
Leigha Logan (b.1999) is a pianist and composer with passion for storytelling through a musical lens. Born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, Leigha trained as a classical pianist and began her formal musical education at Duke Ellington School for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.. She then went on to graduate from Interlochen Arts Academy where she found a hidden love for composing music. Leigha continued this path received her Bachelors of Music degree in Music Composition from the University of Michigan in 2021 and her Masters in Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games from Berklee College of Music (Valencia campus) in 2023. While overseas, Leigha was able to compose for, record with, and conduct multiple ensembles across Europe, including Budapest Art Orchestra in Budapest, Hungary and at Air Studios in London, England. Leigha's time in Spain was also spent interning with composer Lucas Vidal and assisting with projects such as the Disney Centennial Concert in Madrid, Spain and recording sessions at PKO studios. Leigha currently resides in New York after being named the winner of the 2024 Pete Carpenter fellowship and works with the mentorship of composers Gil Talmi and Trevor Gurekis. Leigha is currently developing her career as a film scorer and working with local film and picture artists to help develop her skills. As she continues on, her wish always remains to create evocative music that reaches her audience in new and innovative ways.
